The Brass Section

Description

This is another of the first postprocessing procedures I experienced, several years ago: here, too, I wanted to focus the  attention only on those musical band elements playing the brass instruments. Leaving them in full color did enhance their role, putting them in foreground. Converting to black and white all the rest of the scene, instead, letting it slip in background.

... a curiosity: this shot was taken in Como, Italy, in the central Piazza del Duomo: that cathedral can actually be seen, reflected in the mirror finish of the large tuba bass in the center of the image.
